Black Sheep

'Black Sheep' by Olivia Keith
Once a month I meet with some brilliant writing friends on the Isle of Wight. Before we head back home, we pick a title and each aim to write a short story to share next time, before we start the serious stuff of pulling apart each other's novels.

I usually find this 'just for fun' exercise really challenging. Often I end up scribbling something really poor on the ferry but every now and then it comes together and I'm so pleased the embarrassment of confessing that yet again I've failed, forced me to push through.

The Black Sheep is the name of the bar in Ryde where we started out, so that's how I think of my stories...
